■ GROUND TRUTH · CLAIMS VS RECEIPTS
Gaza
Wafa’s Tuesday print adds nine dead in 24 hours. The Israeli military and Shin Bet say they destroyed five Hamas weapons stores built inside mosques and beside aid infrastructure, and call it a warning. The Board of Peace scolds both sides in the same breath — Hamas over kites, Israel over strikes that go beyond genuine and imminent threats. The trucks ledger hasn’t moved since Monday.

Tuesday’s receipts arrive in pieces: seven killed across the strip on Al Jazeera’s count, three more near a Jabalia school on Wafa’s, a children’s nutrition store buried.
73,431
Palestinians reported killed since Oct 2023, with 174,437 wounded. Wafa’s Tuesday-afternoon print hasn’t been re-issued since, though its own evening story reports three more killed in Jabalia

- Seven in a day, then three more. Al Jazeera counted seven killed across Gaza on Tuesday, three in Beit Lahiya and four around Khan Younis; Wafa reported three more killed near a UNRWA school sheltering displaced people in Jabalia.
- The warehouse held nutrition, not weapons. A store of supplies for children and pregnant and nursing women was buried under rubble, Medical Aid for Palestinians said; it supplied roughly 60 medical points serving up to 100 women and children daily.
- Twelve of 34. Gaza’s health ministry director-general, Munir al-Bursh, says only 12 of the strip’s 34 oxygen stations still run, and warns of a complete collapse of the basic necessities of life (Al Jazeera).
- Five depots, or five mosques. The Israeli military and Shin Bet say they destroyed five Hamas weapons stores “established inside mosques and alongside humanitarian infrastructure,” calling it a clear warning. No casualty figure came with it (Times of Israel).
- The board scolds both. A Board of Peace official told Hamas all militant activity must stop, kite-flying included, with serious consequences for violations, and told Israel action can’t extend beyond genuine and imminent threats (Jerusalem Post).
- Three ledgers, three clocks. Wafa’s medical sources count 1,296 killed since Oct 11; the Gaza government media office counts 1,286 over 315 days; UN OCHA cites 1,259 from the health ministry dating to Oct 10.
- The force is funded before it exists. Washington is providing $206M for the stabilization force on congressional letters seen by Reuters, while Uganda and Burundi send officers to Israel to discuss joining and no contributing government has troops in Gaza.
